Public Dance Schedule at the Concord Scout House

Notes

To protect the dance floor, all dancers must wear soft soled, non-street shoes.

1. Saturday evenings - Dances with different styles are held almost every Saturday throughout the year. These are all open to the public.
   • First Saturdays -
   • Second Saturdays -
   • Third Saturdays - Contra dancing with Beth Parkes.
   • Fourth Saturdays - Contra dancing with Walter Lenk.

2. Friday evenings - A mixture of private events and public dances.
   • First Fridays - Usually a public dance.
     January through May and September through November: Challenging contra dances for experienced dancers.
     December and June: Benefit Contra Dance for the CSH. All welcomed.
   • Fifth Fridays - Usually a public dance. Only 3 or 4 per year.
   • There are no public dances on second, third, and fourth Friday nights.

3. Monday evenings - Contra dancing with Yankee Ingenuity.

4. Sundays - Some Sunday evenings and afternoons have public dances, check the folk dance sites to be sure.

5. Thursdays - Beginning on Thursday, August 3, 2006 the NEFFA Thursday Night Contra Dance will move to The Concord Scout House in Concord, MA.
